History
Data integrity – to any business –
is of paramount importance. Poor data produces weak, erroneous results
and therefore the methods utilised to capture, store and process data
need to be well designed and understood to uphold data integrity.
The electronics of a data acquisition system can be likened metaphorically,
to the ‘heart’ and the ‘muscles’ of the human
body. Data is pumped and circulated by the electronics to meet system
demands, in much the same way as life-blood is pumped around the body.
Just like an athlete who develops their body to respond efficiently to
the demands of competition – a business must similarly develop their
data systems to respond on-demand and in a high-efficient manner, to meet
business needs and user demands.
Well-developed and efficient data systems speed the delivery of data,
and minimise data corruption.
